A network across British Columbia and Washington that fosters transboundary marine biodiversity science and stewardship to inform action-oriented conservation and management.

BioActNet is a network of scientists, decision-makers, educators, and community members from across British Columbia and Washington. Together, we are driving towards the co-design and co-development of marine biodiversity knowledge, to better inform planning, management, and policy on both sides of the border.

We acknowledge and respect all the Indigenous peoples of the Northeast Pacific Region’s land and sea, on and in whose traditional, ancestral, and unceded territories we live, work, and play. This Region has been their home since time immemorial, and their relationships and connection with this land and sea continue to this day; acknowledging this in our current historical moment is crucial to advancing our shared future.
