IMERSS presents a Salish Sea Symposium and banquet fundraiser on October 5th, 2024 on Galiano Island, British Columbia, Canada. The symposium will bring together speakers who share a concern for centering Indigenous knowledge in their work. An exhibit "Salish Sea Diatoms: an Art and Science Exhibit" will also be on display at the Galiano Inn from September 5th to October 8th. All artwork is now up for auction on Zeffy!
IMERSS also invites you to check out the opening of the Xetthecum exhibit at Yellowhouse Art Centre on October 5th, noon. The weekend will be filled with various biodiversity-related activities around Galiano Island, including the Sentinels of Change light trap at Whaler Bay and a community scanning electron microscopy event featuring the amazing Dr. Elaine Humphrey.
