The 104th Annual Meeting of the Western Society of Naturalists will be held in person from Thursday November 9 – Sunday November 12, 2023, at the Hyatt Regency Hotel & Resort in Monterey, California. Hosts will be Alison Haupt (CSUMB) and Amanda Kahn (MLML).
The meeting will follow a similar format and schedule as last year (2022 Program).
Thursday evening will kick off with a student-organized workshop and student mixer.
Friday morning will include the Student Symposium, Lifetime Achievement and Naturalist of the Year Award Presentations, and the Student Symposium.
Friday afternoon will feature the poster sessions, followed by the Attitude Adjustment Hour (AAH) Friday evening.
Saturday morning will start with plenary talks organized by President Bonnie Becker, followed by contributed talk sessions.
Saturday night will start with the Presidential address, followed by the auction and sponsored by the student committee.
Sunday morning will feature more contributed talk sessions, wrapping up early Sunday afternoon with a special plenary speaker.

Its membership is primarily concentrated on the west coast of North America, though many members have spread far and wide. The main activity of the society is the annual meeting, held in November.
